The fine print, kept short

Privacy, plainly.

Every section below comes in two columns: the short version on the left, the complete wording on the right. If the two ever seem to disagree, the full text is the one that counts.

Who we are

This policy covers Teal Fox Studio (“we”, “us”), an independent developer of strategy, narrative and puzzle games, and applies to our website at tealfoxstudio.com and to our games: Meridian Accord, The Quiet Ledger and Foxglove Line.

For anything privacy-related, including the requests described further down, write to [email protected]. A member of the team reads every message.

What we collect

On the website. The site has no sign-up, no comments and no advertising. When you visit, the server that hosts it records standard technical logs — IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time — for security and to keep the site running. Our web fonts are loaded from a third-party font service, which receives your IP address as part of delivering them. We don’t set advertising or tracking cookies.

In our games. What applies depends on the game:

PC · Mac

Meridian Accord

Saves stay on your device or in your platform’s cloud save. If you opt in, a crash report (game version, hardware specs, error log) is sent to us.

PC · iOS · Android

The Quiet Ledger

A one-time purchase handled by the store. No ads, no in-app purchases. Progress is stored locally or via the platform’s cloud save.

In development

Foxglove Line

If you sign up to playtest, we keep your email and, if you choose to give it, your feedback and device model.

When you write to us. If you email us or join a playtest or our occasional newsletter, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include.

03

How we use it

  • Replying to you — support questions, press enquiries and business email.
  • Fixing problems — crash reports help us find and patch bugs.
  • Running playtests — inviting testers and reading their feedback.
  • Sending news — only if you asked for it, with an unsubscribe link in every message.
  • Keeping the site secure — server logs help us spot abuse and outages.

We don’t build advertising profiles, and we don’t use your information for automated decisions about you.

04

Third parties & sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data, to anyone, for any purpose.

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate: website hosting, email, crash reporting and newsletter delivery. They process information only on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service.

Our games are sold through app stores and PC storefronts. Purchases, payments, achievements and cloud saves on those platforms are handled by the platform under its own privacy policy; we receive only the limited, generally aggregated information they make available to developers, such as sales figures.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of our players or our team.

05

Children’s privacy

Our games are made for teens and adults, and neither the website nor the games are directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age set by the law where they live). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent us information — for example, by signing up for a playtest — contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

06

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct anything that’s wrong;
  • Delete your information, including playtest and newsletter records;
  • Withdraw consent, for example by turning off crash reports in a game’s settings or unsubscribing from email.

Email [email protected] from the address concerned and we’ll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. For data held by a store or platform, please use that platform’s own privacy tools.

07

How long we keep it

  • Server logs — kept for a short period, normally no more than 90 days.
  • Crash reports — kept until the related issue is fixed, and no longer than a year.
  • Playtest records — deleted after the test, unless you ask to stay on the list for future ones.
  • Newsletter addresses — kept until you unsubscribe.
  • Emails — kept as long as needed to deal with your message and any follow-up.

We may keep certain records longer when the law requires it.

08

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy when our games or practices change — for instance, when Foxglove Line launches. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page always shows the current version. If a change is significant, we’ll also say so on the homepage or in the affected game.
